Digital sustainability in action

Technology drives our environmental progress. Real-time monitoring and data analytics track energy use, emissions and resource consumption. We respond quickly to deviations and improve operations continuously. Our ESDE system and robotic process automation in oleo plants starting 2025 demonstrate our sustainability commitment.

Sustainability data management platforms

ESDE system tracks our impact

A web-based platform that tracks and drives employees' and organisational sustainability performance. It centralises large volumes of data for real-time KPI monitoring, delivering clear insights to guide strategic action and goal achievement.

By connecting users across 6 global facilities, it ensures alignment, transparency, and data-driven progress.

IOI ESG platform measures progress

A Digitalisation Platform centralises sustainability data with real-time tracking and analysis. Integrated with Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP), it enhances transparency, accuracy, and auditability.

The platform supports compliance with key frameworks such as ISSB and GRI, while enabling IOl to track, monitor, and manage its decarbonisation pathway.

Operational efficiency

Real-time Production Organiser - Operation Management (RPO-OM)

An integrated collection of technologies that provides a two-way communication between the operation data generated on the shop floor and the software systems used by plant management to assist the plant operation and management personnel by facilitating the sharing of plant information including unusual events, work progress, work flow, log sheet and others. By digitalising and standardising of how these data and info is handled, it can help the plant personnel to carry out their routine work correctly, safely and efficiently. This results in improved productivity through standardised work practices, streamlined processes, plus improved communications and coordination across departments.

AI cooling towers cut energy waste

Developed to adapt to fluctuating demand, optimise performance and continuously improve through machine learning.

Robots handle repetitive production tasks

To streamline operations through real-time monitoring and automation, enabling timely machinery repairs via predictive maintenance.

Energy systems and modelling

Energy Management System (EMS)

A tool which can calculate the energy indicators on a real time basis & monitor energy consumption at each plant. This system will be able to show deviations with respect to targets at each plant by comparing current value against set targets. Above all, the system will be able to alert for any big changes in consumption in the plants. The current features proposed for EMS includes monitoring of the energy consumption and distribution to the plant, real-time energy data analytics & historical reporting for whole company.
